  • Hi @MSYFlyer - The reason that Interface Trust settings were no help is that they relate to traffic within a zone. If you look at each zone, there are checkboxes relevant to what you were trying to do. The key concept is trust levels of the zones involved. Both LAN and WiFi were Trusted type zones and thus equal. On each…
  • Hello Scott @shultis - this will probably help: in 'diag.html' Internal Settings page, change: 1) Time interval of DHCP lease database to be refreshed: 120 Seconds (Default is 600 seconds) 2) Number of DHCP leases in database to be refreshed: 20 (Default is 10) 3) Aggressively recycle expired DHCP leases in advance (please…
  • @JBaumann - that kind of granularity can be achieved by: 1) emailing the logs to an email address which is dedicated for that purpose. You better slim down what is logged, as much of what is in there is likely not of interest. 2) Use a syslog or external flow server and capture the data. Our Analyzer, flow-based, is pretty…
  • Hello @BWC - I created an enhancement request for this. RFE ID #4030 - Firewall enhanced full backup, including certificates. I have no idea if this is possible, and feel free to ask me every few months here to check its status. It will not be fast for them to review, much less implement, that I know for sure.
  • Not close to a bug. The very nature of certificates is that their integrity would be compromised if it were possible to use them after moving them from one appliance to another. This is covered in a KB article. https://www.sonicwall.com/support/knowledge-base/sonicwall-certificates-faq/170503799242341/
  • Hello @BWC - This must have been found and fixed in a newer release than the one you are using. Gen7-11866 [GEN7-administrator]Cannot change 'Log out the Admin after inactivity of (mins)' value, GUI show error message 'Invalid value entered for 'Failed login attempts before lockout'. Please enter a value greater than 0' I…

  • I believe you must insert CR LFs followed by a commit command for each line. I will have to test this, so it might take a few days since I'm in the middle of a project.
  • Hello @SonicAdmin80 - I would think the syntax for SCP needs a password just like the one for FTP does. If that is the case, then the context-sensitive help is lacking. Maybe this would work: user:Password@10.10.10.10:/home/userTest/
  • Hello @SonicAdmin80 - The CLI gives context-sensitive help if you type a command with a space and question mark. That is how I got this output: config(2CB8ED693BB4)# import exp ftp Import using the FTP protocol. scp Import using the SCP protocol. config(2CB8ED693BB4)# import exp scp scp Import using the SCP protocol.…
  • Hello @Garyman - WIll you please tell me the computer OS and browser / version? If using Apple OS X or linux, there is one setting that sometimes is needed. It is on the diag.html page and is called "Enforce Host Tag Search for CFS." Below is the help mouseover for it. Please check your logs for the message cited below.…
  • Yes indeed, thanks @MasterRoshi - I also have confirmed that a release candidate version for our next release firmware contains the fix.
  • I will test this and post here about my results. One question for @RyanH and @RedNet - are the routes written for a split tunnel VPN (destination = remote LAN) or for tunnel all (destination = Any) ? Sometimes defects are specific to certain configs. I'll try both.
  • Hello @SonicwallUser - Is the Zyxel model doing PPPoE upsteam of the firewall? https://www.centurylink.com/home/help/internet/modems-and-routers/advanced-setup/wan-settings.html
