Response today was that it shoudl work and the wired connection will be on whatever VLAN the AP is on. As it turns out we've decided to run a wire to this location so not sure I'll get a chance to try. But the question was answered: They said it can be done and you cannot control which VLAN - same as the AP or pound sand!

They did answer: it can be done. I replied that I have several VLAN's on the Virtual Access Profile so how do I control which VLAN is assigned to the ETH port? It you don't know then escalate this to the next support tier.

I got a message from SonicWALL that they need to have me on the phone to collect data(!). I replied: Hi, This is really a yes or no question you should be able to answer via Email: When in Mesh MP mode, can the AP 231c use its LAN port to extend wired network when the AP is using an external power supply? Please escalate…

I got a reply from SonicWALL with good news: Their mesh network uses one or the other radio but an AP in MP mode can actually allow stations to connect on either radio. I did a test of this and it worked: My mesh is 2.4 because I need more range but stations could connect at 5GHz. Of course the user of the connected…

OK thanks!

Hi Larry, Thanks for the reply. The only safe-for-work thing I can say is Good Grief! I opened a ticket just to see what they say.

@MacGyver I really appreciate the tips!

Mine has been stable, too, since the HF

I'm probably way off but it sounds like it could be the group constraints you are using with NPS. I ran into an issue where they were trying to do user and computer groups with PEAP but it can only support one or the other. We didn't want the Android devices on a specific VLAN so we chose to constrain to Domain Computers.…

Thanks for posting, everyone. Now I know what I have to do: be the guy nobody wants to be. Sigh
-
Maybe I'm not on the same page but my experience is the RADIUS on the SonicWALL is not used for 3rd party wireless access point authentication. In a previous life we had Aerohive wireless access points and they communicated directly with the NPS server.
-
I'm guessing packet capture and wireshark might be your only hope. Are you looking under Monitor, Log, like I see on a TZ, or somewhere else?
-
Thanks for posting. We had a TZ570 reboot unexpectedly after being online for about a week and they gave me a hotfix, too. Solid since then.

Hi @BWC Thank you for the response! I kinda figured but wasn't sure. And yes the addresses have not changed. Your link was on point, but the documentation not so much as it does not go into detail as for what we shoudl put in the field named "Manually". I'm wondering if they want me to put a range, subnet, or what they…

Preston, Thank you. I managed to get it working just before I logged off Friday, pretty much like you said, reading the event logs. Once I was sure it was working with just with the TZ Radius settings under users, I returned to the VAP config, created new profiles, and now my wireless with PEAP is working. I marked this as…
