How to troubleshoot error "download OPSWAT package failed"
I have an SMA 400 and in the logs I am seeing, "hourly entries in Endpoint Control\Log , messages type :Info End Point Security 192.168.n.n 192.168.<same> System OPSWAT: Download OPSWAT package failed." What can I do to fix this issue?

Hey @Andrew ,
If it is the log entry, I think it is, then it means the SMA is not able to pull the OSPWAT package from the back end.
Please go to system-->diagnostics--> select TCP connection test. Looking for successful tests for these two outputs.
sigserver.global.sonicwall.com:443
licensemanager.sonicwall.com:443
On the End Point Control status page is ‘Allow Auto Update’ selected? If EPC is enabled on the End Point Control Settings page, auto-update should be enabled.
Another thing we see at times is where EPC is disabled a false indication of this log entry. In that case, it is unimportant. Log settings should be set to Notice - not Debug.

Hi guys,
I have to bring this old thread up again because the logs of different deployments with 10.2.0.1 and 10.2.0.2 are showing the following messages:
OPSWAT: update avaliable with timestamp(20200428141232)
OPSWAT: Package not found on the backend server.
OPSWAT: Unable to verify the new package.
Installed version is 19.05.10.99, EPC enabled or disabled makes no difference.
In the past I was able to force EPC update by overwriting the hostname resolution for sigserver.global.sonicwall.com to 204.212.170.156, which is still valid and updated my SMA to 20.04.08.71.
Why is this still a thing in 2020? Why is it not working out of the box?

Has this problem been solved?
I have the same problem.
I'm asking for your help.
@jkjung did you tried to overwrite the IP address for the relevant server like I mentioned above?
Please check the KB-article, it worked for me plenty of times.

I tried it, but still download OPSWAT package failed.
