Confusion on global ACL
Referring to my old post https://community.sonicwall.com/technology-and-support/discussion/1540/peap-and-mac-authentication
In that post I'm told Global ACL can be found on the Provisioning Profiles page under MANAGE | Access Points | Base Settings | SonicWave Provisioning Profiles tab.
I'm still confused by the documentation though. In one area it states:
Check the User Global ACL Settings box to associate this Virtual Access Point with the already existing MAC Filter List settings for the SonicWall Network Security appliance.
The latter suggests to me there is in fact a "global" ACL for the entire firewall. Is that accurate?
Also in the previous post I mentioned the documentation stated:
MPORTANT: You cannot enable the Remote MAC address access control option at the same time that the
IEEE 802.11i EAP is enabled. If you try to enable the Remote MAC address access control option at the
same time that the IEEE 802.11i EAP is enabled, this error message displays:
Remote MAC address access control can not be set
when IEEE 802.11i EAP is enabled.
We do have WPA2-EAP up and working so is this just old documentation that's irrelevant now?
