I can only recommend you lock down using the Geo IP as much as possible. Even blocking Russia and China has reduced ours by about 90% 😅

hi, thanks for your response. Our DHCP server is also located on the same subnet as X0. After some back and forth it turns out the issue was at the ESXi virtual switch security level. sharing in case it is helpful for others. NetExtender generates a virtual MAC address which means that some systems may perceive this as a…

thanks for the info. We are actually running -49sv in production but it shows as up to date on My Sonicwall (despite -50sv being available). I will just wait till the next update unless there is a compelling reason to move to -50sv. thanks

Still waiting on the "updated KB" - not seen any change thanks

thank you for testing.

Hi, I already have this running/working in a production environment however I think the account we are using has too many privileges so trying to minimise what is in use. This has been highlighted in a security review but have struggled to find any official information on the subject. thanks

Sorry, by no logon required I meant for the Microsoft Store - it will harass the user for a microsoft account but it can be bypassed. To the other response - Yes I am aware that Sonicwall Mobile Connect is no longer supported but it does work if people need it in a pinch like this situation.

We are having the same issue as the OP on Windows 10 October update using NetExtender 10.2.331 Edit: You can still connect using Sonicwall Mobile Connect via the Windows Store (if your users have access - no login required though). I hope that is helpful to some.

We updated to this in December and have had problems. On a few occasions the system has become inaccessible and had to manually power it off. We have also noticed than when this happens the event logs stops for about 12 hours prior so no idea what's happened and has not errors. When we contacted Sonicwall they said "add…

To answer my own question...Users can bypass the message and connect anyway however some found it to be unstable until updated. Sonicwall MobileConnect also did not work for most users - frequent disconnects. Had to revert Windows 10 users back to using the full NetExtender client. Also worth mentioning that Internet…

bump. Is there any resource that shows compatibility for the Sonicwall SMA Connect Agent. The version that installs with the 9.0.0.10-28sv firmware is version is v1.1.31 whereas 10.2.0.8-37sv has v1.1.37 Does anyone know if this will work without upgrading the client machines to v1.1.37? Normally the user can just click…

We have not been able to get our NSA 3700 to work with On Prem Analytics (the replacement for Sonicwall Analyzer) but SonicOS7.x does appear to be supported. Investigating with Sonicwall support just now- will update if we get a resolution.

shiprasahu93, Thanks for your quick response and sorry for the delay in response. You are absolutely correct - when blocking Gmail at the 'application' level (instead of the individual 'signature' level) it includes DNS query. Allowing this and keeping the block enabled for the others works perfectly! Thanks again for your…

Ha! I knew I wasn't mad. Yes I tried both but perhaps it was just a timing thing then. I'll try again this weekend when the system is a bit quieter- thanks.

Perhaps I should consider the upgrade yes. The reason i stuck at v9 and not upgraded to v10 is that the release date on this version 9 firmware is more recent which I did find odd. There is however no mention of this issue on the release notes for either version. Now that we have 80 remote users downtime or any changes to…
