yeah as someone who has been supporting and using sonicwall devices for the last 15+ years, i would say thats par the course. is it in your high availablity? or some rule in vmware is doing this. It not the appliance. If you tell a VM to shutdown via vmware and it starts up again thats on your cluster, not the appliance.

i talked to sales and they had the appliance trial serial number and a download link provided for it within a day. They give you a serial number via email, and then you put that into the webpage to register it. Then go to "resources and support" -> download center. Ah NM found it. Users -> Local groups -> Global Policies -> general tab -> Allow User To Edit/Delete Bookmarks = deny this seems to do it.
