  • I can't speak to the relative security of either version, but I have read that SSL tends to be somewhat slower then GVC. We've been using GVC for about two years now with great success. Only recently, when one of our execs was onboard a cruise ship, was he unable to connect and we had to scramble to set up a GoToMyPC…
  • As a follow-up and a notification to future users searching for migration advice, we successfully upgraded from a TZ400 to a TZ470 using only the migration tool. The only password that didn't migrate was the admin password, but that was easy enough to change. All users and their passwords, interfaces, objects, etc. seem to…
  • Thank you both. I guess that speaks to the robustness of the system. Since that is a functional OS that records data in logs, etc., you would think that there would be, at the very least, a soft shutdown command whether there is a physical power switch or not. • We have been having the same problem for about a year with a TZ400 except for the memory usage. Random reboots - sometimes 1 in 2 or 3 weeks, sometimes 2 or 3 within 30 minutes. Had a long dialog with SW in Feb. Of course, it started with, "May be it was because a cold reboot due to a loose cable connection." and went…
  • I decided to run a test of the migration tool, so I exported a config and ran it through. The good news is that I didn't experience any missing fields or empty drop-downs. The only question I have is related to the final step where the following advanced options are presented: Of course, there's no help or documentation to…
  • Thank you @MacGyver , this is the type of reassurance I was hoping for.
  • @Ajishlal , Yes, I read the KB article an migrating. It's basically a step-by-step - which is ok, and while there are a FEW issues mentioned, there is no detail about them. I've also seen NUMEROUS posts regarding certain fields in the tool not populated depending on which browser you have (I've experienced that in the past…
