See if you can get that speed on a wire through the SonicWALL, as that might be your bottle neck. The ratings for SW Firewalls, they'll be quick to tell you, are not for single session, and varies depending on how much security you have configured.

@kulacrosse SonicWALL wants you to buy their logging and reporting system, GMS (server on premised) or network cloud. This will log all the data for later review. You could setup a syslog server and try to parse it but not so easy.

Thank you!

Darn typo in the subject line. And when I tried to edit I get this fun error LOL

Maybe they need another level, like Dell Pro Support, when you call for a server/EMC issue you usually get a really good tech.

@Larry , I've yet to become that guy but I do think one day I may have to if it is an issue affecting production. Frustrating to know there is someone there ready to help me who could fix issue in seconds if only they'd put them on the phone with me.

Thanks, Preston. Interestingly when I try to adjust this schedule I get this error: "! SonicPoint-N System Self Maintenance schedule: Data is incorrectly formatted." I'm on Gen 7 v5050

Hi, Can you clarify where you turned off the SonicWAVE 231c firmware updates? I understand from your note you discovered an issue with SSLVPN.... I'm about to do the upgrade to Gen 7 latest "5050" and I'd like to prevent them from updating too. I'm already on "SonicOS 9.2.3.0-50o", I see from logging into terminal CLI and…

Can't say I've used that hardware but going from a TZ400 to a TZ570 (Gen7) we didn't see any improvement. It didn't get any worse but still can't get closed to the wirespeed. YMMV....

I had hoped we could see this in the CLI for the AP like you can on Extreme but I have yet to find that...

Just so you know, I've had no luck making this work. My AP's are in a single VAP and using an AP Profile. I can only think the exclusion options are in there for those who are not, ie. single AP no VAP.. I'd like to exclude a few MAC's from specific AP's but it just ignores this setting. Ticket open for a couple weeks now.…

I had to get a hotfix from SonicWALL to cure random reboot when I used the migration tool from (400 to 570).
-
My understanding is if you use ACL's it will not stop the device from connecting it will just not be able to pass traffic.

Hi, It's on 7.01xxx, latest with a hotfix to cure random reboots. They have 8 VAP objects on one VAP profile and one SonicWAVE profile. Within each AP setting is the option to do mac filtering, and so I either create a group or use the Default Deny group. Either way the address object (mac, tied to on the specific wireless…

Hi, I should have mentioned the option was grayed out at that level and I'm not sure why. It was set to Auto and could not be changed. But today, after I did make many changes yesterday, the option is no longer grayed out. I did turn off 5Ghz radios so maybe that was what made the option available. Weird. I marked the…
