Hi @preston , thanks will enable this on all Sonicwalls and check GMS afterwards, when there are new thread entries.

yeah sound like a similar case with a NSA we use with 6.5.4.8....so i wanted to give 6.5.4.9 a try next week....but i am unsure now if i should do it.

Hi, first i am not familiar with v7 But i had a similar issue on nsa3650 with v6 with initial config. And it figured out, that i was affected by a seldom ROMPACK issue. I got a new ROMPACK version from Support and installed it. Afterwards the Sonicwall dont got stuck or lost config. Maybe you can ask Support if there is a…

hi thanks for the update....the more i read about firmware 6.5.4.9 and 6.5.4.8 the more my guess is to not install them on all sonicwalls :-(

Did you already try to uninstall the gvc (do not retain MAC)-> reboot system -> install a current version -> reboot -> and try to VPN-Dialin? -> If this wont work, check if the Sonicwall NIC is set to dhcp...if not set it to dhcp. -> You can also try to reset network connection (be carefull Wifi SSIDs with saved passwords…

current issue if you read here is a broken cloud backup....does anyone have a working cloud backup on 6.5.4.9?
-
Does anyone know if there will be a new firmware released soon to solve this? I just dont feel good to update to 6.4.5.9 and soon after have to update again to a fixed firmware. even if i dont use cloud backup on every sonicwall...

-
that DOES NOT mean you will lose your SonicWall support if the device is licensed. Yes, your support does not suddenly evaporate, but a downgrade will be used as excuse to tell you to factory it and start again, or factory it, install the older firmware version and restore a backup taken at that older version. -> Yeah…

Update: no satisfying results - still static high CPU -> maybe the next firewall should be from another company :-(
-
short update..... still waiting for the support to investigate....the first steps is just questions which should have been answered in an instant of time if the tsr or config file were checked. will keep you updated
-
In the past Sonicwall told be that our sonicwall isnt supported in the current state since they see that a downgrade was done, thats why. We dont do cloudbackups. Hopefully there is also another way without cloud backup.

Hi, could you explain how you did this revert? I have in mind, that this could count as downgrade and you will lose Sonicwall Support. I am asking because i am having an issue after the update too and want to revert if support is to slow.
