TZ570 X8-X9 SFP / SFP+ 5G Cage Interfaces support a 1G optic?

All,

Does anyone know on the TZ570 if the SFP / SFP+ X8-X9 5G cage Interfaces is compatible with 1G optics? The data spec sheet doesn't say anything about it but am curious why it list SFP / SFP+??? It would be great to use as a trunk / uplink to other Layer 2 devices to free up the copper interfaces.

Yes, they are 5G ports but are backward compatible with 1G optic cable.

The first article mentions the NSA architecture. Does the TZ series follow suite with the NSA? By looking at the supported optics I would assume so.... Also, the first article mentions 10G SFP+ / 1G SFP in reference to the NSA series. The spec sheet for the TZ570 list "X8/X9 SFP/SFP+ (2)5GbE" interfaces. Can you shed some light on that?
