Internet Speed Issue

We are using a TZ 400 device. Previously we were having 10 Mbps internet links in which we were getting proper internet speed. Then we have upgraded it to 1 Gbps. After upgradation we are only able to get 90-100 Mbps internet speed through firewall but when we configure the same link on laptop we are able to get proper internet speed.

Then for troubleshooting this I have changed security to performance optimise but still the same issue. I have also checked by changing the MTU value of the WAN interface but still the same issue.

Any Suggestion.

Hello @Darshil,

The full DPI throughput for the TZ 400 is 300 Mbps. So, it definitely cannot reach 1 Gbps.

regarding the performance value you have mentioned, does it cames from field experince? Since datasheet reports more powerful values (that is Threat Prevention Througput @ 600 Mbps):

Hello @Enzino78,

300 Mbps is when you are turning ON all security features.

IPS throughput is calculated when only the IPS feature is enabled. So, from my experience, I have always seen TZ 400 giving a throughput of 250-300 Mbps in DPI mode with performance optimization.

So what about a TZ500 full DPI? I have a Partner with a 500 Mbps Internet line that is able to reach no more that 350 Mbps in Full DPI with performance optimized option selected and other adjustems on the fw.

Here are the full DPI values for Gen 6 TZ.

TZ 300 - 100 Mbps

TZ 400 - 300 Mbps

TZ 500 - 400 Mbps

TZ 600 - 500 Mbps.

@Enzino78 , please look at the Gen7 TZ 570/670 for 1 GB throughput.

Yes, I agree with @MasterRoshi. We have improved on the performance by almost 3X on Gen 7 devices. I would suggest an upgrade as well for 1 Gbps.
