Sonicwall Firewall Firmware Upgrade
Hi Folks,
We are planning to upgrade the firmware on Sonicwall Supermassive 9200 from SonicOS Enhanced 6.5.3.3-3n to 6.5.4.6-79n.
Firewall is in HA pair, Active - standby mode.
I can see no issue in upgrading directly. Does anyone have any inputs on this please?

Hello @Sandeep,
Yes, you can directly upgrade to 6.5.4.6-79n from 6.5.3.3.
Please hold off if you have:
1) Dell X series switch attached to this firewall
2) Android Mobile Connect users - Cannot access LAN resources after connection
You might need to contact support and request for the necessary HF in that case. Otherwise, go ahead and upgrade to 6.5.4.6.
I hope that helps! Thanks!

Hello @Sandeep,
I would suggest reaching out to support and obtaining the GEN6-1285 HF for your firewall model and upgrading to that. We have several other improvements related to DPI SSL on 6.5.4.6. So, honestly 6.5.4.5-53n will not be an ideal choice at this point of time.
Thanks!

Hi Shipra,
Thank you for your inputs, unfortunately we have users using mobile connect on android.
Does 6.5.4.5-53n version has any issues?
Do you recommend to upgrade to 6.5.4.5-53n version instead of 6.5.4.6 due to few issues.
I saw firmware 6.5.4.7 is out.
I would like a detail on this problem solved "GEN6-1417 NetExtender slow performance" (I have users who also complain about this problem).
6.5.4.7 solved mobile client problem GEN6-1285
Thanks
Hello @Alberto,
Both GEN6-1285 and GEN6-1417 are addressed on 6.5.4.7 release.
Thank you!

Thanks, I got it! Is it possible to have more information on this error GEN6-1417 ?
Have you got visibility about my problem ? GEN6-1803
@Alberto,
On GEN6-1417 it was found that there was reduction in the TCP receiver window & congestion window on DataPlane causing this issue which had been fixed on 6.5.4.7.
GEN6-1803 is still being investigated by the engineering team at this moment.
Thanks!
