SonicWave 621 not provisioning on NSA 2700

I have a brand new SonicWave 621 that I am trying to manage with my new NSA 2700

I have followed the getting started guide, and I can see that it is getting an IP address.

But when I go to DEVICE>EXTERNAL CONTROLLERS>Access Points>Access Point Objects, it never shows up.

One interesting thing is that with the OBJECT>Match Objects>Zones>WLAN>Wireless>Only allow traffic generated by a SonicPoint/SonicWave option enabled, in the System Logs I see "Drop WLAN traffic from non-SonicPoint devices" for the IP address the SonicPoint is on.

With the "Only allow traffic generated by a SonicPoint/SonicWave" option disabled, I can browse to the IP listed in DHCP and log into the interface.

Any idea why it doesn't seem to be getting provisioned?

I do have the "Auto Provisioning SonicWave Provisioning Profile" enabled and the "SonicWave Provisioning Profile" set appropriately.

Hi @chuckh , is the firewall on at least 7.1.1 firmware and the SonicWave connected on an interface set in a WLAN Zone?

Hi @preston, I spoke to SonicWall support yesterday. The SonicWave is connected to an interface on the WLAN Zone but it is not on 7.1.1. I am going to upgrade the firmware this weekend and see if that does the trick.

I'll try to remember to post the results, so hopefully, this helps someone else.

Hi chuckh, from what I remember the 6 series SonicWaves weren't supported for UTM management until 7.1.1 so this should be all you need to do, I would advise to go to 7.1.1-7058 don't go to 7.1.2 unless you are wanting to run/test the CSE service (formerly Banyan)
