Windows 11 or 10 ARM - NetExtender Can't Connect

in VPN Client

I use win11 or win10 ARM 64 , When I using NetExtender to connect VPN, and then got a error msg. “Engine initialization failed”。

see the log as below:

    Hi @Tonyzss

    As referenced in the KB article, both NetExtender and GVC currently do NOT support devices with ARM-based processors. You can use MobileConnect application as the alternative.

    when i use MobileConnect application, After configurate of windows VPN setting ， and then connect, The error is " Remote connection not made because the name issue with the remote access server has not been resolved" . Any suggestion?

    btw, The port of SONICWALL IS "4433" ,NOT default 443

    Hi @tonyzss , the error you shared seems to be related to domain name resolution.

    • Install SonicWALL Mobile Connect from Microsoft Store => https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9wzdncrdsfkz?ocid=pdpshare&hl=en-us&gl=US
    • From the application level, click on settings => you will be taken to the VPN settings built into Windows.
    • In Windows, add a VPN network => select “VPN provider” from the list: SonicWall Mobile Connect, most importantly - enter correctly - "Server name or address" => https://server_ip_adress:4433
    • When you log in for the first time, you will be asked for your login and password.
    • That's all, you can connect to the network from Windows itself. The Mobile Connect app itself will be useful for monitoring the connection itself.
