How to port fowarding on HTTPS correctly?

Hello,

I am new to Network Configuring and I'm currently trying to make my private server accessible to the public. I followed this tutorial ( https://www.sonicwall.com/support/knowledge-base/how-can-i-enable-port-forwarding-and-allow-access-to-a-server-through-the-sonicwall/170503477349850/#Resolution2 ) which allowed me to connect to my private server via HTTP using the Public IP.

However, when I attempted to switch to HTTPS, it redirected me to the SonicWall configuration website and then to port 5001, which I'm unsure why.

Could you please advise if there are any additional settings I need to configure for HTTPS?

Thank you.

Change the firewall's HTTPS management port from 443 to something else.

HTTPS UI management Manage/Appliance/Web management Settings HTTPS Port.

    here its set 9443

It will then populate the service HTTPS management for you to use as a rule

1.What is 5001 port uses on management port? no Idea are you asking? if this can be used as HTTPS management?

2.Where I can see the details of source, destination, service option?

    - that's done on the Rules not the NAT policy.

Rules apply per zone so I would have thought WAN-DMZ or WAN-LAN if your device is hosted there ?
