SonicWall Unified Threat Management (UTM) has the product name changed?

Hi,

SonicWall Unified Threat Management (UTM) is the product name. So still, is it the same name (SonicWall UTM)?

Or we called SonicWall UTM (product) with a different name, like SonicWall Security Appliances/SonicWall Firewall?

    I'll try to answer this.

    UTM is an idea (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unified_threat_management), not a product.

    Sonicwall makes firewalls (TZ or NSA series). You can buy just a firewall with no support or licensing, configure it and it will function as a firewall.

    Sonicwalls firewalls have features you can purchase licensing for (and thus enable) that add functionality to the firewall.

    The combination of a firewall with the add-on features (Antivirus, Content Filtering, etc.) provides 'UTM' functionality.
