Login to Old SonicWall
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone would know how to log in to an old outdated SonicWall NSA 2600.
When I try to log in it gives SSL errors such as ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap.
I tried googling and tried different things to enable old SSL 3 in Chrome, Explorer and Firefox but it still gives this error. I try to log in on http page, but after login it redirects to https and gives this error.

Thank you for your replies,
I managed to log in using K-Meleon browser as advised on some forums (2017 version) and adjusting some settings to allow SSL 3 as people recommend for Firefox. After logging in it presented a window in the browser to add an exception of login page and its SSL certificate and let me through.
Hopefully this information helps someone else. I think that browser is only for Windows OS.
I didn't want to risk with safe mode as it is a live firewall, I also tried Firefox 35 with adjusted settings but it still didn't work.
I will try to upgrade SonicWall OS soon.

Hello @JP98S ,
That error clearly indicates that the NSA 2600 is on a very old firmware because of which the cipher suites from the browser have nothing is common with the firewall. You can try logging in using HTTP and that should work.
If HTTP management is not turned ON, you can either SSH using putty or using console and use the KB below to enable the management using HTTP.
Also, you can put the device in safe mode, upgrade the firmware from safe mode and then try logging in.
I hope that helps!

You can also download and install a 2016 browser like this and use it:
(don't let it update itself)
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/48.0/
Hi @JP98S,
Hope you are doing good.
If you are still looking for some insight on this, you can follow the instructions listed in the below KB article to upgrade the firmware on the firewall to a version that doesn't use outdated ciphers. This method has its own stipulations like FTP server access and SSH management access on the interface.
Have a better one!!!

Hello @JP98S,
Thanks for sharing what worked out for you!
The IE browser might be useful in such scenarios. You can enable SSL 3.0 under Internet Options and advanced settings.
Please restart the browser before testing again.
Thanks!
