SonicOS 7 - .gz log file format?

Basic question, but what format is this?
I'm trying to download the tracelog via Settings => Storage and the file is named tracelog.gz. The extension makes me thing it's gzip'd, but gzip insists it is not a gzip file, and linux's file utility just identifies it as "data". It's definitely a binary file of some kind.
What tool I need to decompress and/or just open it?

the file should be encrypted by SonicWALL Dev. Don't think we can extract it without SonicWALL Tech.
what happens is you just use tar zxvf or gunzip
Well that would be less than helpful...
Both tar zxvf and gunzip report "gzip: tracelog.gz: not in gzip format"
you can either use a file format detection tool like tridnet to figure out what file format it is or just get sonicwall support to look at it
Hello @andy_wfc,
I hope you are well.
The file that you are attempting to access "tracelog.gz" is a diagnostic file that can only be opened by SonicWall support. You can learn more about the different types of firewall troubleshooting files by going to https://www.sonicwall.com/support/knowledge-base/how-can-i-download-required-tech-support-files-tsr-settings-gui-logs-trace-logs/170503698742108/.
