Sonicwall and DNS

djhurt1djhurt1 Enthusiast ✭✭

Still getting the hang of SonicOS. We host DNS our domain controller. We use sonicwall access points. I see that our wireless clients are registered on our DNS. Sonicwall is handling DHCP for the wireless clients and not our internal DHCP server. It appears we have secure updates only on our DNS server. How does sonicwall handle registering wireless clients not joined to our domain to our DNS?

  • @djhurt1,

So, are the wireless clients using RADIUS based EAP authentication or just using a PSK? What exactly is happening to the clients that are not joined to the domain? Are they unable to connect to the wireless network or access internet?

    Thanks!
