CSE Client App - no auto-update?

While checking the latest Release notes for CSE, I was wondering why my CSE Client on macOS does not auto-update anymore. It's stuck at version 3.22.3, which isn't even listed in the Changelog.
The latest version 3.23.1 is available via manual download, but this is something I try to avoid.
