Blocking EXE Downloads

Can SonicWALL block exe downloads to specific IP addresses/mac addresses on a network?

I tried the link below, but it won't block from https [I don't have an http site to test from]. We also are not using DPI-SSL as of now.

    @JonathanZahler without DPI-SSL there is no way to block EXE and even with DPI-SSL it might be some challenge.
