How do endpoint licenses work?

I am new to this and am confused about licensing. For example I can purchase a 1 year, 1 endpoint license Advanced license
02-SSC-1519 that says it has 5-24 licenses.
- So I am assuming the 1 endpoint license is for my SonicWall firewall and then the 5-24 licenses are for each Capture Client that is installed on the computers?
- If this is correct, why does it say 5-24 licenses? Does that mean you have to install it works with a minimum of 5 computers and a max of 24?
- Or does this mean I also have to purchase other licenses for each computer that will have Capture Client installed on it? And if so what are those licenses called?
Thanks for your patience

@bzperry I'am located in Germany, the distributor pricelist shows price band 1-24, I googled the SKUs and 5-24 showed up.
I believe 5-24 is outdated, because if I check the catalog on MySonicWall it shows 1-24 as well.
A question probably only SNWL can answer for your geographic location.

@bzperry the SKU you mentioned is for the price band 5 to 24 licenses (which means a minimum order of 5 licenses), you need one license for each Endpoint, the Firewall does not need a license because it does not run CC.

Is there a SKU available that allows you to purchase just one or less than 5 of the Advanced or Premiere licenses?
I find this confusing when it says it is "one endpoint" but then says "1000-4999 licenses".
So if the computer that Capture Client is being installed on is the endpoint and not the firewall why do they say "one endpoint"?

@bzperry an Endpoint is a Computer (Windows, macOS, Linux) which needs to be licensed for using Capture Client. You don't license CC to the Firewall. The license can be attached to a Firewall to enforce CC when behind a SNWL Firewall, but this is not mandatory.
There are a couple of SKUs available, I mentioned the price band, which is like a scale for discount. 1-24 is the lowest tier (more expensive) but 1000-4999 is a higher tier with better pricing, but you need at least 1000 Endpoint to profit from that price band.
If you need a single license or up to 24 you would order on of these.
You might get in touch with SonicWall Sales for any clarification.

@BWC_DE thank you for your explanation. I understand this better now.
However those SKUs you sent don't seem to be for 1-24 endpoints. They say for 5-24 for both the 1 year and 3 year:
Do these SKUs 02-SSC-1519, 02-SSC-1518 say they are for 1-24 endpoints where you are from because all the resellers in Canada and the US that I found say 5-24?
Thanks
