How to install firmware using Console Cable

I have SOHO model installed in my office. Its firmware seems corrupt. I have its backup of firmware but I do not know how to install the same using console. Please help me is this the same scenario like cisco switch or router console access as we connect in Cisco console port (RJ45 Ethernet) and second port USB to laptop and using COM port with serial connection? Second which commands used to upload firmware with default Username & Password. I need your help. I found some articles in this regard there was ftp server I do not know where its installed like in cisco we install TFTP utility to copy IOS image. Please help

SOHO devices are already in Limited Retirement Mode (LRM) and will soon be End-of-Support. I recommend upgrading the firewall vs. just upgrading the firmware.

Does the device boot into safemode?

AFAIK, safemode is the only way to recover firmware on pre-Gen7 devices.
