New Microsoft Modern Security Settings for Log Automation

Has anyone figured out how to send logs via email using outlook.com accounts now that Microsoft is requiring modern security? You'd think SW would be on top of this. Maybe it's fixed in the latest firmware, which I've downloaded but have yet to install.
