Enable SNMP for SW switches/aps via WNM?

I am trying to get my APs (all SONICWAVE 621) & switches (mix of SWS14-48 & 24FPOE) to show up in my monitoring system. The TZ370 FW I was able to configure SNMP via NSM just fine & that shows up in the monitoring system. However, with WNM, I have created (and deleted/recreated) the policies then applied the snmp policies to the switch & ap policies, but still unable to get SNMP to respond. For the switches I tried snmp v2 & v3, and with the ap it looks like the policy only supports v3. I am new to the cloud.sonicwall.com way of doing things (but have gone through documentation & some of Jean-Pier Talbot's videos), so I assume I am missing things. Last time I touched SW was pre-Dell acquisition equipment. Switches are on 1.2.1.1-5, APs 9.6.4.9-6o.
