How to define one of my SOHO 250 ports as WLAN with access rule schedule.

I have a SOHO 250 with 5 ports. X0 preset to LAN, X1 preset to WAN, and the other 3 were port-sheilded to X0-LAN I have and external Ubiquiti WiFi attached to X2. In order to apply a rule to the X2-WLAN port, I followed the SonicOS example to remove X2 from the Port-Sheild then defined the X2 port as WLAN with L2-bridge to X0 LAN. But when I do so, the WiFi devices are unable to connect to internet (WAN). I checked the routing rules and WLAN→LAN and WLAN→WAN is allowed for both IPv4 & IPv6. There is TX/RX activity on X2, but none of my wireless devices can re-connect to the WAN after this change, even when they are told to forget the AP and re-login. They can login to WiFi, but not get to internet. What additional steps are needed?
