2nd hand NSA 4500 - Can't register.

I bought an NSA 4500 from Goodwill. I had no idea it had to be registered, or that I'd need a license for it. Now I can't register it because it's still linked to another account and I have no idea where it originated. Is there anything that can be done?

    You only need licenses for certain security services. It's pretty usable without service subscriptions.

    The following KB article with the title "Registration transfer owner unknown" should give you the insight you need. Please be advised that NSA4500 is end of life as of 2018-05-15 and hence the last condition will apply.

    CAUTION:Customer Service will not be able to transfer a device under any of the following conditions:
    • If the device is associated with another device or service in MySonicWall.com
    • If the current registered owner does not give written permission to transfer
    • The current registered owner does not respond to the 2 attempts mentioned above.
    • If the device is End of Support
