SonicOS 7.1.1-7051 incorrectly logging website hit categories

I have noticed that in SonicOS 7.1.1-7051 with CFS 5, the logging of web site hits category is most of the time being logged as the reputation, not the category. This is adversely affecting reports and such that are based upon category.

Example:

dstname=i4.c.eset.com arg=/livegrid code=102 Category="Trustworthy" note="Policy: Sonicwall Admins CFS Policy, Info: 7427 , Reputation Type: Trustworthy"

The log for Category= should be "Computer and Internet Security" and instead it is "Trustworthy" which is the reputation.

I have opened a support case.

Thanks for bringing this up as we are about to likely run into this… I was trying to hold off on 7.1.1 firmware but couldnt any longer…

OK, this is more evidence that Sonicwall Support is a bunch of lazy people. I have a case open on this since 05/27 and so far the assigned support person asks for more information. HELLO, the information is right in front of you. Not one effort has been made to escalate this to someone actually capable of understanding the problem and working resolve it.
