How to redirect Branch traffic to DR server if primary server is unavailable.

Hi,

If anyone can support me to configure the below requirement.

We have installed 2 x NSA 4650 Firewall's (H/O Site, DR Site) and 24 No's SOHO firewalls in remote branches.

We have a requirement to redirect all branch traffic to DR Server if Primary Server is unavailable.

All branch application request coming to H/O Primary server, we cannot configure the application side settings (IP and port ) to DR Server if primary server unavailable .

If any request coming to the primary server, we need to redirect that traffic to the DR Site. without changing the application settings.

Could you please let me know how exactly the HO, DR and 24 No's remote sites are connected to each other? Is there any VPN tunnel established or running MPLS/P2P connection or running any sort of dynamic routes over Internet?

To answer your question, you have to get the network probes configured on the firewalls over static routes or PBR to force the auto-failover mechanism to switch the traffic destined for Primary Server to DR Site Server.
