SMA 410 - OTP "smtpclient error ERR_CONNECT"



Too frequently, we have facing to error sending otp by email way with "smtpclient error ERR_CONNECT" message from NetExtender attempting connection (OTP based on user's email). Once by week at this time.

Once this message occurs, no new connection is possible, all users get this message and cannot received email. From firewall, no smtp connection is visible, the SMA 410 don't try once time to send anything. 

The only way to resolve it is to reboot both appliance at the same time (active and idle). Sometimes isn't possible from UI with http connecting blocked in infinite loop, only from disconnect power. All becomes good after reboot, emails can be sended properly.

It's seems appears more frequently the day that have more connected user (like Wednesday or Friday). Today facing the issue when 275 users connected (out of 400). The CPU can reach up to 80% usage for 250/300 users.

Do you have an idea or how to remediate this sending SMTP error ?
