change password on sonicwall switch

Hi All,

i have a Sonicwall 48 port full poe switch. i have updated to the very latest firmware as i read that that was the issue but i am unable to change from the default admin/password combination. i have also tried to create a new user account but it keeps failing saying wither "Failed to Modify the User" or "Failed to Add User"

any help please?

By default, the username/password on the SonicWall switch is admin/password respectively. When the switch is provisioned using auto-discovery, it uses those default values. Once the switch is in a connected state, the password for the switch can be updated from the UI.

No changes will be updated to the switch until the switch is in a connected state.
