GVC and DHCP

I blew out our GVC interface by mistake. I threw it back together as best I could from scratch in a hurry and it's been working for months now. I'm moving it to a different interface and upon reviewing the instructions to set it up again it says I need to configure DHCP over VPN. I didn't do that previously and it's working fine. I simply setup a DHCP scope on the interface I set the GVC on. What's the magic behind "DHCP over VPN"?

It is basically just so you can direct the DHCP messages to 1 DHCP server if you want to do that. I don't believe you actually need to do that with GVC. The only documentation I can find about it is for site to site VPNs. I wouldn't even bother setting it up. We use SSL VPN and all I did was set up a range of IP addresses and didn't need to establish a DHCP server for them. Hope this helps!
Hi @djhurt1
You can use a few scenario for gvc.
1) you can use sonicwall dhcp server.
2) you can use external dhcp servers.
3) you can deploy sonicwall fw as a dhcp server for all vpn remote sites.
