Logs to Gmail no longer works

I know as of May 30, 2022, ​​Google no longer supports the use of third-party apps or devices which ask you to sign in to your Google Account using only your username and password.

I also found this support article in the knowledge base:

But it only addresses OS 6.5 and previous. I have OS 7.0.1.

Is there something built into ver 7 that I'm not seeing. Why hasn't sonicwall sent out something about this with a fix for 7 or an update or something. What is the solution. Or do the instructions for 6.5 apply to 7 as well? I ask because I really don't want to setup 2 step verification but it looks like there's no way to avoid it. Thanks.

    I ended up following the 6.5 instructions for 7 and it worked.
