We are changin from one ISP to another and are currently unable to get the FW to retain the new ISP settings on the WAN interface. We are running version 6.5 on the FW. Any thoughts on what we are doing wrong?
Larry, thanks for responding to my question. Because I can't get the FW to retain the X1/WAN setting changes, I assume you are suggesting that I perform the power off/power on procedure before attempting to change the WAN interface settings. Is that correct?

Suggestions for this idiosyncrasy.
Make sure your settings in the firewall for the WAN are appropriate for the new ISP. If so then...
Turn off the firewall appliance. Turn off the vendor's modem.
Turn on the vendor's modem and wait a few minutes until all the activity is complete.
Then turn on your firewall appliance. It should - at that point - pick up the correct IP address on the WAN.

@Volorgas affirmative. Any time you change an ISP device, you must reboot the firewall.
