Mangement NAT policy

djhurt1djhurt1 Enthusiast ✭✭

Curious why the firewall adds these default NAT policies for each interface IP. They each say "Management NAT policy".

I realize there's a reason but I'd love to know what is the purpose?

@djhurt1 the rule is added when "Ping" is enabled on the respective Network Interface settings.

Usually I would say that these should not be necessary but maybe it's some kind of enforcement to make sure that management traffic is not altered by some overlapping NAT rule.

Thank you. I was just curious why the rule was created since, to myself anyway, it appears to have no obvious purpose.
