Loopback configuration

I have a SOHO250 configured with WAN, LAN, and DMZ. I have computers on both the LAN and DMZ, and a NVR on the DMZ. I've configured NAT Policies and Access rules to allow access to the NVR using the public address from the WAN, and from the LAN. I've tried to enable computers on the DMZ to access the NVR using the public address but I haven't had any luck.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Joe

@Computer_Doctor I assume that you have a NAT Rule already in place which translates the public ip/port to your NVR. You might also need an Access Rule from DMZ to DMZ allowing access to the WAN IP/Port.

I only remember vageuly if this is all you have to do, because the reply traffic from the NVR will not pass the firewall which might mess up things. I had a similar case many years back, but I'am not sure if this was an issue on the CheckPoint or the SonicWall there.

You might also look into the Firewall Option "Apply firewall rules for intra-LAN traffic to/from the same interface".
