Cannot enable Internet Connection Sharing with NetExtender

I am trying to enable Internet Connection Sharing on the NetExtender network interface in Windows 10. When I check the allow box and select my home networking nic, I get the error: Cannot enable shared access. Error 87: The parameter is incorrect. This issue only happens with the NetExtender adapter. All other nics/adapters (including Global VPN Client) work just fine.

I don't know how to find what "parameter is incorrect", or how to fix it. Everything is set to the defaults. The netextender connects to my sonicwall just fine, I just can't enable Internet Connection Sharing.

@asdfasdf there was an issue due Microsoft Updates on January which broke the VPN - could be your solution ?!

    1. Windows PowerShell (Administrator).
    2. Windows 10: wusa /uninstall /kb:5009543
    3. Windows 11: wusa /uninstall /kb:5009566

    reboot should fix that issue.

I tried 1909 and 20H2, which did not have this update. They all have the exact same issue.

Just for the hell of it, it tried uninstalling that update, but no change.
