Taking over an IT infrastructure with Sonicwall NSA 3600
Hello All, I've taken over IT service for my client and they have lost all login and contract info for their sonicwall, I am trying to get some management going so we can open some ports. I am not familiar with this system at all sadly.
At one point they've contacted sonicwall to get some info how to get in but they were not successful, However sonicwall was able to get into the system and somewhere somehow retrieve a file called: sonicwall-NSA3600-6.2.5.1-26n.exp
The hardware is a dell sonicWall NSA 3600, MFG part#: 01-ssc-4271
I would appreciate some help to recovering the password without losing all the configuration for the firewall. Thank you

Hi ITPHX, put the device in safemode, go to the safemode GUI HTTP not HTTPS, then factory default the appliance, when the device comes back up you can login with admin.password, then import your exp file (under import settings) and you will have the confuration you require with the password reset, change the password after and upgrade the firmware to 6.5.4.8 (you will need to be able to access the MysonicWall account where the appliance is registered for the firmware)
