SonicWave / SonicPoint - VPN Tunnel - WLAN Tunnel
Hi All,
Any SonicWall gurus know how the 'WLAN Tunnel' interface works? Is this purely for managing the AP remotely?
I can create the VPN between the SonicWave AP and The Firewall in the office, devices on the wireless network can ping the internal resources.
But what I need is for the devices to be on the same network as the office so I can address them by IP. rather than NAT'ed via the AP.
The AP will be put in a rented office where I have no control over the network.
Thanks in advance, J

Hello @j31415 ,
I hope you are well and safe!
You are right, the WLAN tunnel interface helps you in managing the AP remotely when it is present behind another router or on the internet.
The WLAN tunnel interface IP is used to build the tunnel between the SonicWALL and the AP, but using the AC IP field, you can assign the IP address from the firewall to the AP.
The following KB article will help you understand this better.
I hope that helps! Have a good one!
