Vendor lock SSD?

I have a Sonicwall tz270, I tried to add a scandisk 32GB SSD and it is not working. Will it only work with a original Sonicwall SSD or do i have to format it differently?

Thanks for the answer, The tz270 / tz760 have a little door on the bottom with a normal ssd slot.,

It will only take a sonicwall SDD, not another brand.
