Is LDAP search recursive?

in Mid Range Firewalls

In "Trees containing users:" if I specify:

domain.local/ThisOU

domain.local/ThatOU

and a user is in

domain.local/ThisOU/SomeOtherOU

will the search descend in to SomeOtherOU? The documentation is not clear on this.
