Drop packet

Hi everybody,

i use a SOHO sonicwall with Firmware 5.9.1.13-5o.

i receive a error i packet monitor

DROPPED, Drop Code: 1(Unknown Ether type.), Module Id: 16(fwCore), (Ref.Id: _2679_kprwvJqqm) 1:1)

i can't find any information about this error on internet.

The firewall received a packet with an unknown Ethernet frame and subsequently dropped it. Unfortunately Sonicwalls documentation isn't very clear with its drop code explanations.

Without additional information we wouldn't be able to help any further.

The uknown ether type packets stand for traffics that are not standard ones. We may be able to give you the precise answer after taking a look at the packet capture screenshot if you can share it. Please share the screenshot of the complete packet monitor.
