ISP has given me details as below.

WAN IP POOL- 12.24.30.8/30

WAN Gateway:- 12.24.30.9

WAN Usable IP:- 12.24.30.10

Subnet Mask:- 255.255.255.255

LAN IP POOL:- 18.24.29.24/29

LAN Gateway:- 18.24.29.25

LAN Usable IP:- 18.24.29.26 to 18.24.29.30

Subnet Mask:- 255.255.255.255

now we want like, my original WAN IP not visible on the internet/publicly, only LAN IP will show. what should I configure on the interface (X1) and how will NAT?

thanks!

  • @samaj,

Why has the ISP provided both of these pools? Is it like an additional WAN pool?

SonicWall will by default NAT out all traffic using the IP configured on the X1 interface.

Could you please elaborate a little bit more on how you are planning to set this up?

    Thanks!
