understand log settings

Hi I was putting the log part which is badly configured. Now I sign the id of the events I am interested in seeing. I don't understand the difference between alert and email. Can you give me a document to clarify my ideas?
Do you see any configuration errors on this page? Is Logging Level Inform Right?

Yes, the logging level INFORM is the default setting. We use DEBUG only when we are trying to troubleshoot a specific issue.
The Alert column is set which events will be flagged as alert level on the Event logs in the firewall UI, Email is if you want a log to be sent to your email address.
Usually, we set the alert level logs to be immediately sent to the email if log automation is configured. Otherwise, even if an event is not of alert level and you want it to be sent to your email immediately, that email column will help you with that.
