Good Morning.


I am posting this thread because of a sonicwall TZ400 problem. If I add an address object by MAC, it does not take effect the restrictions but when I add it by Host (IP) works fine. Does anyone know why?

    Hi @HCECENES_93

    First you would have to update your Firmware to latest. Then make sure once you created the MAC address object, its resolving the IP address.

    @HCECENES_93, is the device on the same subnet as the firewall or is it being routed through an intermediary router? If it is being routed before it hits the firewall, the mac will change to the routers address and no restriction will be in effect.
