connect router between internet connection and firewall

in Entry Level Firewalls

I have a lease line(internet connection). I have connected directly to the firewall X1 port. suppose i connect my lease line connection to the router and then into the firewall. can i do this, will it work? anything conflicts in network. and if i do that then any extra settings required in firewall?

    Hello @samaj,

    I think is solely depends on how you configure the router placed between the firewall and the leased line. Is that going to be in NATted mode?

    Are you going to have two separate subnets, one for the firewall and the other for the leased line?

    No, it will not be in NATed mode (actually I have no idea there NAT will require or not). Will it be needed?
