moving to TZ570 from TZ400's

Hi,

I currently have 4 TZ400 and I am considering moving to the TZ570's. I am considering it because I'm told that there is improved security. So is that true?

Also I was wondering if I can just copy the configuration from the TZ400's and import the configuration file on to the TZ570?

    Hello @Johnf,

Gen 7 devices have several hardware and firmware improvements. The SonicOS 7.0 is Linux based which provides several advantages.

If we look at the security features like GAV, IPS, Anti Spyware etc, they are all cloud based signature updates and are identical. But, features likes DPI SSL, TLS 1.3 support etc make the performance better, making it easier for the security engines to check through quickly.

So, overall I would say, you'll get a better experience on the Gen 7 devices.

You can use the following link for comparing three firewalls for better understanding on performance.

    Thanks!
