Changing ISP

I am changing over to a new ISP with new IPs. I have created new external address objects, nat policies, and firewall rules. I thought I would test by creating outbound NAT policy for my laptop, and I configured it to use the new interface on the firewall, X18. But when I go lookup what my external IP address is, it comes up the old public address. As for NAT policy priority, I even disabled the other outbound policy to see if that was it. Not sure whats going on.

    Hi @JASONMEYER,

Thank you for visiting SonicWall Community.

It sounds like you are missing the route policy on the SonicWall because you still have both the old and new ISP's connected to it. Please add the route policy on the SonicWall as below,

    Source: Laptop's IP address

    Destination: Any

    Service: Any

    Default Gateway: X18 Default Gateway

    Interface: X18

    Metric: 10

This route should do the trick for you since there existing old WAN takes Primary WAN role.

    Regards
