How to resolve network drive save issues?

We have a Sonicwall NSA 3600 and a Server running Windows Server 2016 Standard. When any remote user connects via the Sonicwall Global VPN client, they can not save files to any of our network share drives. This just started a couple weeks ago. We are on the latest VPN client.

So, can the users even access the Windows Server shares remotely? As in they can browse to them and see the files?
How are the Windows shares accessed mapped drive? UNC path?
You haven't given us much to work with.

All users can access the mapped drives. We all have access to the drives and can open files, we just can't save changes or move/copy files to the mapped drives. We have the same access via UNC path but again we can not save files, it appears to time out.
Hi @PATRIOT_78257,
Please make sure the ports UDP/TCP 137, 138, 139 (Netbios Port), TCP 445 (SMB Port) is allowed on the GVC WANGroupVPN profile policy. If these ports are already allowed, we may need to perform packet capture on the SonicWall to ensure other ports dropped by SonicWall and we can allow those accordingly.
Hope this helps.

Are the users logging in to a directory (e.g. Active Directory) joined system when accessing remotely? If not are they prompted to provide credentials when browsing to the shared folder? I'm wondering if this has less to do with the Sonicwall, more to do with the sharing and NTFS permissions on the shared folder.
