Running GPO when logging in via Global VPN Client
Hello,
Having an issue on the best way to get the updated GPO on a remote users computer.
Last year I checked off the box
Run the following command when connection is established.
In the box I put in gpupdate /force
The issue is, it starts to run the command and nothing happens. Just a black command line box with the words gpupdate /force. It never finishes. Last year it did and would ask to log off which I usually got the users to say N because no matter what it always wanted you to log off.

Hi @gsitton
when they connect through the VPN, they are authenticating to the domain? netbios / DNS is enabled over VPN?
Hi @gsitton
Once you confirm the above steps, update the GPupdate through powershell in localhost;
Hi @gsitton
Additionally you can make the power shell script as batch file and run once the VPN connection establish.
They already logged onto their laptop and we are using Sonicwall local user for VPN authentication.
I'll check to see if the Netbios is enabled over VPN.
